Lazy Weekend Brunch

To me, there are moments for fancy, and moments for unfussy. Brunch is most definitely one of the latter, especially when hosting at home. So save your crisply ironed tablecloth for another day, and throw together a simple, beautiful table setting with minimal effort.

Texture is the key here, and to me, that means linen! Rustic, grey napkins*, and this This raw-edged runner* add the perfect amount of warmth to an otherwise bare table. Wind the runner down the center of the table, gathering it slightly between candles and serving platters. Speaking of candles – keep them short and unpretentious – just enough for a little glow.

Apply the same idea to your glassware. Petite stemware and casual water glasses are easy and inviting. Similarly, opt for no-frills stoneware or ceramics instead of china. Here, speckled bowls* add a little more pattern to the spread.

For this particular meal, I opted out of any florals, but greenery, or even some whole stemmed oranges would be a lovely extra touch. Simple and elegant, leaving you to focus on more important things, like the food, and another mimosa. Cheers!
